Rejection Letter

There are a few types of rejection letters, which may differ according to items as the type of vacancy, field, industry, country, etc. 
 

A rejection letter would typically include the following: 


A thank you for the candidate’s interest in the job opening and/or company. 
What stood out in their resume and in the interview(s). 
What will happen to their resume. 
 
There are many other items that may be included.
 
Sample Rejection Letter

Dear (Name), 
Thank you for applying for the position of (Position/Job Title ) for the position of (Company Name). 
Your resume is quite impressive and shows great potential for you in the working world. Unfortunately, your qualifications are not in line with the requirements for the job at hand. However, we will keep your resume on file, and should a more suitable position arise, we will contact you.  
Once again, thank you for your interest in (Company Name).
